Any Full, Associate or Assistant Professor or Lecturer/Instructor (or equivalent) of Hellenic descent or connected by professional association with Hellenic Culture & Affairs and currently holding or having held in the past one of the above positions in an Institution of Higher Education may become a member of the Circle. In addition, doctoral degree holders involved in advanced research activities in non-academic institutions or corporations can also become members. Membership is not limited to those residing in the greater Boston area. Anyone meeting the above requirements can become a member, regardless of their residence or work. All can participate in the General Assembly and vote through electronic media. Only US citizens or Permanent Residents of the USA can be elected officers or directors.
Colleagues residing more than 70 miles from Boston are also eligible to become supporting members but have no voting rights.
Membership applications, either as members or supporting members, must be endorsed by three members of the Circle in good standing and must be approved by the Board of Directors. A membership application must include a Curriculum Vitae. Please get in touch with any board member if you want to become a member by submitting your CV.
The annual membership fee is $100.00 (January 1 to December 31). The annual fee for supporting membership is $50 (January 1 to December 31). Payment can be made electronically by selecting the appropriate membership item below.
